Queen of Hearts

Shirt: American Eagle   -   Trousers: Top Shop (love these.. fun Halloween leggings from Top Shop here and here!)   -   Shoes: Charlotte Russe   -   Bag: Aldo (Loving this one)

Some nice, tailored trousers are a must have in any girl's wardrobe. I love these pants. First off, high-waisted anything calls my name. I am also loving the symmetrical pattern of the hearts on these. I didn't wanna distract from the awesome print, so I went with a simple black T. The structured design lets them be worn with anything a little lighter weight and flowy. I'm definitely dying to pair these bad boys with a nice shear blouse soon. I thought this would be a perfect outfit for a night out at the Geisha House.

The entire place was covered in Halloween decor. It was all so adorable, the ceilings draped with spider webs, while ghosts and skeletons scoured through the place. My friend and I decided to jump into the glass dungeon with the ghosts and graveyard scene. It wasn't too long before we got the boot out of the little box. But no worries, we got pictures :) If you go to the Geisha House, you must try The Hai. It's a beautiful cocktail made from fresh strawberry puree, White Lotus Vodka, lemon/lime juices, sweet and sour and just a drop of champagne. It's a must have on their menu!

Over the next couple days, I will be revealing my Halloween costumes! I can't wait to share them! Stay tuned :)

Here's a little jam from Michael Jackson to get you in the Halloween mood. Have a happy All Hallow's Eve tomorrow my friends!

A day at the park

So sweet, the cutest chair placed perfectly next to this tree
Shirt: American Eagle   -   Pants: American Eagle (Awesome fall color here)   -   Shoes: Forever 21   -   Bracelets: H&M   -   Sunglasses: American Eagle (Love these neon ones!)

Yesterday, it was sunny and beautiful, so the man and I decided to take a stroll to the park. It was absolutely spectacular out. I wanted to fit in with the warm sunshine so I popped on this pastel summer number. The blue and white, lacey pin-striped top tends to be a little farm girlish with my blonde curls, so I like to wear it with something other than jeans. I think the coral pants and edgier shoes gives this outfit a fun, youthful feel. I free-lanced for AE as a stylist assistant around when this stuff came out. I helped build this outfit for the Summer 2012 campaign, so it inspired me to wear it myself.

While we were at the park, we spotted the cutest little chair perched next to this highly stacked tree. I had to take a picture, it was just so sweet. After a delightful day relaxing in the sun, off to costume shopping we were! I got both my costumes yesterday, hint hint.. it's going to be a Disney themed Halloween :) I absolutely can't wait!

The weather changed drastically from day to night, there were actually rolling blackouts all over Hollywood last night due to the wind storm. So we decided to cuddle up, order some pizza and have a movie night.

As always, I like to put a song at the end of my posts to leave you all off with a great tune and a happy day! Here's a bestie from Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.

Oh baby, can't you see it's shining just for you

Oh baby, can't you see it's shining just for you <3
Bandana Top: Ralph by Ralph Lauren   -   Jeans: American Eagle   -   Shoes: Charlotte Russe, cool ones here

This was a total find for the Black Keys concert. I was looking through my entire closet, thinking I wouldn't have anything to wear. You know that saying, closet full of clothes but nothing to wear. Yep, that's about how I felt. I went searching through a few piles of tanks and tees I never wear and voilà.. I found this little red bandana halter from the 90's. Instantly, I knew this is what I would be wearing to the concert. The faded black jeans and black strappy heels came easy. I rely on these two pieces to make any outfit a bit more rockerish. I wanted to keep this outfit a little more simple and opted out on jewelry for the night.

The Black Keys were amazing to see live, I can't wait to see them again! It's unfortunate I didn't get to see them perform both nights at the Staples Center. During Everlasting Light, the entire stadium went dark, then the room began to sparkle with blue, gold and white lights. Everyone started slowly clapping along with the rhythm of the song. I have to say, it was so epic.

Here is one of my absolute love's by The Black Keys. Have a fabulous day friends :)

And it's not even my birthday

 Blouse: H&M   -   Skirt: H&M   -   Clutch: Aldo   -   Shoes: Forever 21   -   Bracelets: H&M

I wore this blue and pink ensemble out for my birthday. It's absolutely one of my favorites, which is surprising because I always seem to wait until the last minute to pick out my bday outfit. Last year, I procrastinated on shopping once again and didn't end up finding anything. This year was different :) . I found this vibrant coral skirt tucked behind some hot pink blazers. The shoes came next (I haven't been into animal print lately, but I saw these and it was love at first site <3 ). I wanted to be bright on this birthday night, so I finished it off with the cobalt blue and gold.

We started off my bday week with a Roosevelt pool party and sugar-rimmed strawberry margaritas. So fun! On my actual birthday, we went to Geisha house where I ordered the amazing king crab miso soup. Then ended off the night with The Sayer's Club in Hollywood. An awesome band was covering the strokes (top of my list), which was totally unexpected!

I'll leave you all off with one of my faves by the stokes, have a fabulous week everyone :)
